I was born and brought up in Bristol, England. The picture is of my mum, Olive, and me in Auntie Ethel's mint patch. Her house in Stanley Street was later demolished. I think it was one of the last cobbled streets in Bristol.
Up the road at my Nan and Grandad's, the family gathered beside the singing kettle on the open fire and told our stories... the never ending saga of who did what and when and well-I-never.
